Federal Tax Forms
The University Library will no longer be distributing copies of the federal tax forms. The IRS has decided that because so many people are filing electronically they no longer need to provide so many paper forms. Consequently they have eliminated some distribution centers among them the University Library.
The North Dartmouth Public Library indicates that they are still receiving the forms as are many other public libraries. Forms are also available on-line at

Call numbers are the backbone of organizing and accessing information. They make the process practically effortless, compared to the alternative. Unfortunately, it’s not always as easy to categorize information as it is to access it afterwards. What if a meeting takes place and the results aren’t published until years later? Wonder no more. Here are a few reminders regarding imprint dates.
UMass Dartmouth Library Archivist Judy Farrar, in conjuction with Cindy Yoken of the Center for Jewish Culture, recently compiled a historical booklet on the Jewish Community of New Bedford. The printing of the booklet entitled “Historical Tour of Jewish New Bedford,” was funded with a grant from the United Way Greater New Bedford Community Building Mini Grant program.
