Through the efforts of the Consul of Portugal in New Bedford, the UMass Dartmouth Library recently received a gift of 96 music titles to add to our growing CD collection.

The Strauss Portugalsom series was donated by the Art Institute of the Government of Portugal and forwarded to the library from the Center for Portuguese Study and Culture. These re-released classics represent a wide selection of music from Portugal’s most noted composers and performers of classical music, folk songs, contemporary and choral pieces.

A keyword search of the Strauss-Portugalsom label in the library catalog will display the titles for browsing. They are now available for checking out from the 1st floor circulation desk.
