STRESS!

Faculty, staff and students are invited to the Library/Faculty Senate Brown Bag Lunch event for the month of March. It will take place on Wednesday, March 15th, 2006, from 12 – 1 pm in the Library Browsing Area.

Dr. Christine Frizzell, Director of the UMass Dartmouth Counseling Center, will speak on “Stress and Stress Management within an Academic Setting.” This is an important opportunity to consider the effects and manifestations of stress in our lives and more importantly, learn how to manage them.

UMass Dartmouth Auditorium/Theater Drawings.

Auditorium/Theater DrawingsFaculty, staff and students are invited to an exhibit of architectural drawings of the UMass Darmouth Auditorium/Theater.

Created by Bruce Barnes, Librarian for Technical Services, the exhibit is titled “Drawings of the Auditorium, UMass Dartmouth, Paul Rudolph, Architect” and is designed to show, through the architect’s drawings, the development of the Theater/Auditorium building on campus (earlier drawings sited a “Theater Group” next to the Library). As part of the exhibit, The UMass Dartmouth auditorium is also compared to two other similar Rudolph projects.

The exhibit opens on Monday, February 27, 2006, in the UMass Dartmouth Auditorium lobby and lasts till Friday, March 31, 2006.
