The UMass Dartmouth Library Associates presents its Spring event “THE COVE WOT SPOUTS SHAKESPEARE!”
“Ashore in the Big City: A Romp with Sailors wandering about the World’s great seaport towns-London, New York, New Bedford” will be presented by Dr. Stuart Frank, the Senior Curator, New Bedford Whaling Museum. He is also the Director Emeritus, Kendall Museum and has a Ph.D from Brown University, where he wrote his dissertation on Ballads and Songs of the Whale Hunters.
This event, which is open to the general public, will take place on Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 7 pm, in the UMass Dartmouth Library Browsing Area. Refreshments will be served and parking will be available in Parking Lot 13, near the entrance to the Library.
