A discussion about open access publishing, the good, the bad and the ugly! Don’t be a victim of predatory publishers! Science Librarian, Elizabeth Winiarz will lead a discussion on how to distinguish legitimate from questionable open access publishers.

“Dear Colleagues,

with the pressure to publish and the recent development of Open Access publishing, the options for scholars looking to disseminate their research and scholarship continue to expand.    To answer some of the questions people may have on this topic, the Office of Faculty Development together with the UMass Dartmouth chapter of Sigma Xi and the Clair T. Carney Library have a lunchtime presentation by Science Librarian Elizabeth Winiarz TOMORROW March 3 at 12:30 – 1:30 pm in LIB 314. “
