Jewish Lifelines: Recollections of Southcoast Residents – September 14, 2006 at 7 pm – UMass Dartmouth Library Browsing Area

The UMass Dartmouth Library Associates and the Center for Jewish Culture presents a special program

September 14, 2006 at 7 pm – UMass Dartmouth Library Browsing Area – This event is open to the general public and is free.

The program will feature a Panel to discuss the Oral History Project of the Center for Jewish Archives with the following speakers: Cindy Yoken, moderator, Professor Robert Waxler, founding director of the CJC, Judy Barry, volunteer coordinator of the CJC, and Interviewees: William Abesh of New Bedford, Rachel Levinson of North Dartmouth and Dr. Irving Fradkin of Fall River.

A reception to honor the interviewees will follow the program.

The Center for Jewish Culture archives will be on exhibit in the library. Judy Farrar, the UMass Dartmouth archives and special collections librarian, and Barbara Kaplan, the CJC archives volunteer, have coordinated the exhibit.

Parking will be available in Parking Lot 13, near the entrance to the Library.
