The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth handed-off the Claire T. Carney Library expansion and renovation construction site to Consigli Construction at 3 pm on Sept. 7th, 2010. The UMass Dartmouth African Drum Ensemble opened the event with lively drumming and chanting. The Dean of Library Services and Chancellor MacCormack gave brief speeches to note the occasion. Claire Carney was there to enjoy the celebration of the project that she helped to get underway.
